As we get older, we realize more and more the hopes, relationships, and lives we wanted are impossible. We decide it’s time to “live in the real world” and we stop dreaming and hoping. But what if the impossible was actually possible? There was once a man who did impossible things and made impossible promises. And he still offers to do the impossible for us today.
Sometimes we see real needs around us that we feel powerless to do anything about. But what if God has shown us these needs in order to grow our faith and help others at the same time? Maybe it’s time we put our faith into action and realize that real faith is developed in the real world.
For many Jesus Followers faith often seems like it consists of sitting in a church service once a week and listening to someone talk about Jesus. But knowing about Jesus and having real faith that transforms our lives are two very different things. It’s time to turn knowledge into a real faith for a real world… like really. Let’s Be Real.
Faith. It often seems like a mysterious power that either you have or you don’t. But in reality, those with strong, mature faith are no different than the rest of us. They have simply learned this secret: the faith we possess is the direct result of the actions we choose to take. In this episode, we explore 3 specific actions we can choose to take to strengthen our faith today.
The future always has been and always will be unknown. Often this fact creates fear and anxiety. But what if we could walk into the unknown with confidence and peace? The way forward is not as complicated as we might think.
– A few simple songs (usually a guitar and maybe a violin and percussion) to sing along with or just listen to. – A short message (similar to our YouTube/podcast style messages) – Communion together (all are welcome at the table, but you can also skip this). – A final song and a simple prayer. – Afterwards, an optional snack while you meet some folks.
All in all, should last about an hour.
How many people will be there? 🤓
We are a small church, like a majority of churches in America! Weekly we see between 25 and 45 people gathering in the main room. It just depends. If you want to hide in the back, you still can!
What do you offer for kids? 👨👧👧
We have kids’ classrooms for nursery/pre-k and for elementary kids through grade 5. Our volunteers are background checked and there are always open doors and multiple volunteers. You can also keep your kids in the service with you. It’ll be an hour long. Email us with any specific kid-related questions! info@yourcrosscreek.com
Do I have to believe in Jesus to attend? 🙋🏽
No. We created this church in 2017 to be a place where faith in Jesus can be explored, and isn’t demanded, assumed or expected.
We welcome your questions, your doubts, and the process of faith. You don’t have to believe to belong.
And we won’t make any assumptions: we promise to explain briefly what’s happening and invite you to join in. You can also sit back and just check things out.
