– Who or what is demanding my loyalty?

- When you look at the world today—wars, division, corruption—how does it make you feel? How do you typically respond to the chaos around you?
- The first-century Christians faced pressure to pledge allegiance to Rome. What are some modern “empires” that pull for our allegiance today?
- Re-read Revelation 1:5-8. How do you think this passage should shape how we view political leaders and global powers?
