There is something beautiful and powerful that happens when we realize God created us as unique individuals. But the Holy Spirit wasn’t given just so individuals could experience God on their own. The Holy Spirit is creating a community whose unity is as unique as the individuals who form it.
Main Points:
03:07 We often view the Holy Spirit through a mix of western individualism and tribalism.
04:14 The Holy Spirit transforms YOU and ME into an inexplicable WE.
06:35 The Holy Spirit makes individual Jesus Followers into unique members of the same body.
07:15 Forced uniformity is a product of broken humanity. Unique unity is a product of the Holy Spirit.
08:30 The Holy Spirit eclipses the significance of our differences.
09:17 In the Body of Christ, unity isn’t based on shared beliefs but on a shared indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
09:56 Jesus Followers are more deeply united to each other than they are to any other group.
11:19 We cannot be the Body of Christ alone.
14:23 In the Body of Christ we are all connected.
17:30 The unity of a diverse Church displays the Kingdom of God to a divided world.
